I don't bring it up. Most people already know that agents are paid on commission. If someone asks, then I tell them that I am paid by the insurance companies based on the amount of business that I place with any given company. But, I've only been asked a couple times in 7 years.

I just tell them the insurance company pays me to service your policy.
I tell them I do it for free since I make all my money dancing at the strip club!

Tell them that part of how you get paid is by referrals.

Sure you could, just need to find the right crowd!
I get paid in two ways...
I tell people if they are truly that worried about it, I can send them a bill. That usually shuts them up
