Gitomer's Perspective

Rob...with all due respect to my fellow Nerf-ball playing friend...maybe it shouldn't be about price...but many times it is.

And when you represent most of the major carriers, and you fully explain the pitfalls of stripped-down plans...it's OK that many times it's all about price.

Thank God I'm charming, sexy, and humble.

Same problem...:1wink: Not a huge Gitomer fan but he nailed this one "value" outsells price everytime. Unless your prospects are not really prospects at all.

Gitomer is one of the most over hyped "Sales Guru's" out there.

Him and his lil red book....lol.

Stick with the value proposition, even if you quit insurance, it's the best way to sell.

That is just plain dumb.

I wouldn't expect anything less though. He is all fluff, nothing to sink you're teeth into.

Do what works! Doesn't matter if you're selling by price or value.

If your negativity is high, now would be a great time to exit and sell something you like, even if it’s ice cream cones.

So his advice is to quit?

Agreed 100%, most agents I encounter make price an issue, not the client. Maybe because being a broker means being broker than everyone else, so they focus on price.

Agreed Chumps, I didn't say it was absolute, most people want two things when they shop, expert service and value, many agents are not confident, lack expertise and then try to sell on price to get a sale.

But of course sometimes it comes down to price.
