Go Independent or Go with an Established Agency?

Congrats on passing the test and you will definitely need good luck with AFLAC. Don't say we never warned you.

Great job on passing! I've never seen anyone last long with AFLAC...you were warned!!

I am captive and love it for what it is worth.

Ok, went to AFLAC school today and left at lunch. It seems like there is a whole lot of brown-nosing the teacher and not a lot of learning:mad:. I also don't like how they make you truck around with someone the first three months of work. I really just want to learn the product and get on with it, and don't think AFLAC is going to fit what I want to do. PLEASE HELP with ideas on what companies focus on long-term care and life and cancer policies. I really want to be with a company that lets me go do my job.... SELLING INSURANCE!

Why don't you contact ACSIA if you want to do LTC? Google them....i don't have their #. They do have good training and will start you wilh some leads. Or try Futurity First, a new national agency opening up in different markets across the country. They sell different prods so you can expeiment to see which niche you like.

Another question. If I wanted to go independent, how exactly is that done? Who do I go to for products? I know how to get contacts and cold-call, but need the resources for the insurance products. Load me up with knowledge boys and girls, I'm ready to learn!

You find an IMO for Life Products and an FMO for health products.

Did she say load her up?

May I ask a serious question?

Is that picture of you or is it just another Avatar?
What happened to your office building that you mentioned is available to you?

In my humble opinion , if you passed your test and if you have been appointed and if you know the niche you want to work , you are loaded up with knowledge already.

Go beat the drum now.

If you don't have the product knowledge , get in front of someone and follow whatever sales materials you do have.

Follow whatever information you read or heard that caused you to want to offer long-term-care, life and cancer policies in the first place .

No offense but you didn't take sincere advise here that was given already (unless I am mistaken) , so why would you expect more answers to more questions?

Just curious.

I'm asking questions because I want to learn. If you don't have anything constructive to add, don't bother commenting (Slim).

For all of you who care to help newbies like myself, I appreciate your kindness and insight.
