My sister-in-law's mother lives in Britain. has been waiting over 1 year for rotator cuff surgery. During that year, she has lived in immense pain, completely unable to use her left arm. She basically has lost one year of her life.

More efficient than the UK.

I'm operating under the assumption that once a country has established universal health care it becomes so popular that repeal becomes impossible. So if the UK wanted to improve the NHS they could restructure it according to the more-efficient and orderly German or Canadian models.

There are horror stories all over the world........not just in the UK.

The alternative here is to get the very best care, no waiting, plasma tv's in your room, concierge service........etc etc.....IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT!

If not, when you are all better and well treated book your appointment in the bankruptcy court..........

I have used the system in the UK (with a life threatening, major trauma event) and have no problems at all in recommending their system over ours right now.

Sure there are horror stories......but there are plenty of them here too.
