Just wondering if any of you have tried the route of giving group presentations for FE to any clubs/organizations like Bingo Halls, Amvets clubs, churches, American Legions and the like.

I would assume it could be a good way to not only get some business but also obtain a lot of leads for future business.

Im sure some of you out there have done it, but curious as to what type of steps you take in lining up a group presentation as well as how did it go for you??

I have a feeling that if someone is actively marketing to these groups and is successful at it they are not going to be advertising it on here. FWIW, I plan on doing this just as another venue to prospect to. PM me and I will get back to you and let you know my success.

I just don't see how any of these groups are just going to let a salesman in without any sort payment/donation/etc. I'm sure if you brought lunch for everybody or something, maybe they would let you present. But then again, that idea has been brought up on these forums and apparently it doesn't work.

I've worked BINGOs twice through a funeral home that sponsored a spaghetti dinner day at the county fair.

Fed them all dinner, worked as the BINGO caller, mingled around. Picked up a couple of names to call and I remember one turning into a sizable sale.

Overall it doesn't seem like an easy way to generate sales.

You gotta have a niche to get to these groups. Just find a niche, or keep doing what you are doing. I wish you could tell me how I could sell preneed without having to go captive...I just can't work them many hours.
