Have You Been Paid for ALL the PDP You Sold?

Suprisingly enough, CCRX has been on time and Pyramid's Today's options has been on time.

They almost always ere on the side of paying agents too much too soon. Aren't their commissions pretty low on these products?

Just got the new commission schedule today for Coventry drug plans. Seems a little unethical to put out a new commission schedule effective January 1rst 2010 when its already 10 days into February but thats me. When I opened the letter and quickly looked it over at lunch time I didnt see it.....but when I got back to the office and looked closer I did. There was a big change! It seems they have changed it now so you only get commissions for 5 years! My retiring from selling those medicare drug plans last year was not a good idea..........it was a DAMN GOOD IDEA!

Yoda, Most of us that certified with the various PDP carriers did not do this because of any financial gain! Most PDP carriers pay anywhere from $25 to $50 onetime only. Even smaller renewals.
I certified with various PDP carriers in order to help my med supp clients. Most all of us professional insurance agents try to give something back to the residents of our respective communities. I don't belong to Rotary or any other service organizations. Therefore, I put up with all the bullshit that comes with PDP's. Why?? Because I understand PDP's and know how they work! Who else will help the senior with a PDP?? You need computer skill to effectively compare the different plans.
You on the other hand are the Gordon Gecko of insurance.
I'm glad my med supp clients have me as their agent and not someone like you.

1 medium sized elephant is worth more then 50 of them squirrels your hunting!:1laugh:

Well...UHC has paid me everything except the other halves of first timers. Have not heard anything from Coventry, so better call me office and see if anyone has gotten anything.

Humana is all paid up but Wellcare sent me a chargeback for Jan, Feb and March 2010.....even though the plan was not renewed in her county for 2010 and they didn't pay me anything. I just figured Wellcare was getting ready for tax time with creative accounting.

Not to start a fist fight here, but Yoda is just the opposite of Gordon Gecko. He opposes MA, PDP and the way it's being marketed. I don't agree with Yoda that you should leave the MAPD in your briefcase. For some it's a lifesaver. For others, it is just costing the taxpayer (us) more money. A lot of agents on here engage in marketing practices which Yoda doesn't agree with and neither do I.

He might come off a little crabby sometimes, but he seems like the kind of agent I'd want for myself. Well....I guess I'll take ME for my agent...might as well take the family discount.

This is my first season with the PDPs, and I will have to say honestly after Dec 1st. my first thought was "I will not do this next year". However, after all the dust has settled I now see that we did gain several new clients out due to the season as well as several new clients in our pipeline. So I will have to agree inspite of the not know if you are pitching or catching the last 45 days of the year, and do not even know your name at the end, I will have to agree that this is worth it for all involved. Actually, if this is this worst "pain" we go through for our clients then it is worth it. So the verdict is I will be getting certified with as many companies as possible once again and actually not expect much in return except satisfied clients. The money will come from other areas.

Oh by the way, what did you mean by "Gordon Gecko"? :err:
