FYI, these guys can't compete with us "...assuming you're talking about the "pay as you" go work comp ? The only accounts I've seen them picking up are the "poor payers" who will eventually be dropped for non pay anyways

John Savage was a great ambassador for the life insurance industry. What I wouldn't give to see him get Dave Scamsey and that dingbat Screwzie Whoreman in a debate. Of course, 2 on 1 really isn't fair odds. Dave and Skankzie better get some more help. Maybe Clark Howard and A.L. Williams are available.

I wish I could've met John Savage while he was alive. Didn't he die in '93? I was just starting high school back then. At least he wrote some books and there are videos & audios out there. He had the gift of making everything simple and to get others to act on his recommendations.

Back to the original topic... Ovation has done a great job for me and my clients. My good friend and 21 year Paychex rep jumped over to them a year ago and has done a great job for my agency and any referrals I have sent his way. OV is highly accurate and responsive. He told me they basically plucked the top performers fro ADP and Paychex. It has been the first time in my business where I have had the same payroll specialist for 14 strait months. The last year I was with Paychex I went through 4 or 5.

True, they don't do insurance directly but they do have some sort of association with Cal Choice on the health side. They don't sell it but they give some discounts.

I just saved an ADP client 25% a year on WC. Those WC solutions from PEO companies are a joke and seriously if you are a business owner and you buy into it there is a slim chance you will ever get out into the normal market again and a SURE chance you will be over paying for the rest of your life !
For the record I got them from 21k per year with ADP down to 15k with Amtrust Financial.
but keep in mind most companies will automatically deny any applicant coming off a PEO. In fact I had an underwriter for one of the larger WC companies say that their company feels PEO's are full of dishonest slime balls. haha
