health.gov dilemma

My daughter is unemployed (voluntarily), separated going through the divorce process, but not yet divorced.

At healthcare.gov, before even getting to the issue of qualifying for coverage, she was asked "single or married." No other choices. When she checks single, the site cannot identify her. When she checks married, the site asks for her husband's information which she is not going to provide. Consequently, she cannot get past that brick wall to get to the next step.

There is really something effed about that system that doesn't allow a separated person to get health insurance on her own.

What other options does she have?

Is health insurance available via other than health.gov?

Suggestions would be helpful.

If she lives in a state that has its own health insurance marketplace, she should check that specific site. Sometimes state marketplaces have different rules or options that might allow her to enroll as separated.
