Not knowing what I was getting into, I thought it would be a good idea to add a health insurance product to my company, so I took the 40 hour class and wow, now that I have taken the class and learned so much about life insurance I am leaning more toward life insurance than health.
I just passed the test Tuesday, I plan on getting on the phone and dial, dial, dial. Is there a good script to go with?

Life insurance and disability income protection are both going to probably serve you well in the coming years. You can use health to open doors, but once you are really talking with folks, really sitting down one on one, you will find that people have no disability and little or no life insurance, however health insurance -they can figure out a way out of buying it . They can get a job and get health ins. at work, get with some association that offers health, sit back and wait for the government to take care of it... whatever, but life and disabilty are things they cannot find an excuse- to get out of buying.

Write your own script. It's all the same. Say something to get an appt to review their insurance. There is a wealth of info on the net about life insurance. No one has enough. It's the backbone of any financial plan. Early demise leaving the family homeless etc etc. The carriers and the marketing companies have plenty of material on the subject.

BTW, I kind of "wing it" on the phone, but it's great to have a "script" near by, one with "power phrases", such as, "I want to personally deliver this information to you.." and, "Just like a doctor or lawyer, in order to professionally assess your exact situation, I would need to visit with you in person. "

That is " if " you are visiting with people. Some people do telesales.

Instead of pedaling Life Policies over the coffee table while the dog humps your leg, at night. If you really like the Life Insurance Business, Check Out the LEAP System, it works but will cost a little to get licensed with the system. There link is a dot com.
