Help me with a web site

My website is Benefit Marketing Group and I designed it myself using free templates provided by my ISP and I'm marginally computer illiterate. A professional designer could probably give it more bells and whistles but it works for me and I get 35-40 hits a day. As I add new products I add new pages but the key to it all is that clients can run their own quotes and enroll online. I can retrieve statistics about who came online, what specific pages they viewed and their email address for followups. My server cost is aroun $10 a month.

I put a lot of stock in a good website. I do both SEO and pay per click for my site. I average over 1800 hits a month of which 800 are unique user id's (real people).Of the 800 I get about 120 leads a month on both indiviudal health and small group.
Over 65% of my sales come from my website.

Invest as much as you can in your website because it can be the best form of marketing you do.

Form a budget and meet with your local website developers.

All websites talked about here are for health insurance. How about life insurance. Created webpage in May with Financial Visions but haven't had any hits. termlifeoutlet.com

I just set one up last weekend using Godaddy.com. They have a service called Website tonight that has templates you can use. It is pretty easy to use. I got it up and running in a couple of hours, and it looks professional. The hosting, domain name and a five page website set me back less than $50 for a year. And it includes some free Google & MSN ad dollars that can help get you a few visitors.

Home Page

It is a work in progress. I may upgrade to a 10 page site down the road, but I have not done anything with it yet. I want to make a few changes to it before I try to drive some traffic to it.

I'm not surprised. It's a snoozer. You have no reason for anyone to go there. You need to tell something of interest about you, your firm, or whatever. You don't do that.

I get lots of hits on mine... but that's because I'm not out there trying to sell insurance. I'm out there selling me.

People are not interested in insurance... they are interested in YOU. But you don't give them any reason to pick up the phone and call you.

A good website should make them say "I love that guy" or "I really hate this guy." Love is better than hate, but anything is better than being ignored.

I've had people call and tell me I'm full of s--t. They are the easiest appointments to get. Piece of cake. "Just give me a chance to meet you and prove I'm not a full of s--t... just 15 minutes... and I'll bet you lunch that you become a client of mine. Let's meet at Brookfields Restaurant at noon on Wednesday. I'll be wearing a red striped tie and have a brown leather briefcase."

As for your website, try to remember that you are a salesman, not school teacher. Think about it.

I might be wrong, but I assume that there are not many people that search "get major medical insurance."

Here are the stats from Google for that term

Keywords related to term(s) entered -

get medical coverage---260 number of Searches for June 08

Correct, in your assumption, very low keyword, site is not SEO optimized

I checked your site out.
From a natural search term selection you might have a hard time getting anyone to come to the site. The reason is they can't find you on the search pages. There are multiple reason why but one of them is you don't have enough content on the pages. The search spiders look for content.

So now the best way to get people to come to your site is pay per click. Set up an ad campaign on google.

Your site has some nice features and I think the tools is a very nice touch but I would have a consultant advise you on changes to improve it.

I think you might be on to something with just term life web site.
