HHS Delays "BASIC" Health Coverage for Lower-Middle Class.

Oh..OK Dave. I'll do some research and see why TaterPeeler likes him so much. But I won't contribute to this thread veering off topic any longer. Annoys me when I see it happen elsewhere. Thanks. -ac

Getting back on topic. So, let me get this straight:

0-133% of FPL - won't have insurance unless state expands medicaid, which is not looking so good right now in most states.

133%-200 of FPL - won't have insurance, or can't afford insurance because Basic Health Plan is delayed

So, who again is this law going to help again?

This law will help accountants, and it's looking more and more like the chaos will increase the importance and compensation for insurance brokers with THE RIGHT STUFF.

This plan is the Gov. option to a one payer system.

200% of FPL will not be in the insurance pool.

There are a lot of people that could take advantage of this plan and will.

I watch interior decorating shows. I assume there aren't too many in this crowd that do likewise!

I agree, ABC, that the Govt option was the road to one-payer. It's interesting that they can't get it off the ground, and that they anticipate it won't be off the ground until 2016.
