HHS wants to med supps gaurenteed Issue

How HHS is trying to do this is claim that if a company sells PD, and MAPD they have power to make them apply those rules to all products. It may not happen, but it definitely telegraphs what HHS wants to happen!
Maybe so. But like @somarco says there are plenty of supp only companies that HHC can't touch. Same goes for CMS.

My upline said HHS wants to med supps gaurenteed Issue has anyone heard that? It would make it alot more expensive and pay less.

With Trump back in, not something we'll have to worry about anymore...thankfully.

Him and his people understand logic, common sense, and how the real world actually functions.

Things are about to change DRASTICALLY for the better in the insurance world.

As much as some misguided people think this would be good and would be a benefit to seniors, it's not. Their rates would absolutely astronomically skyrocket.

MAPD, PDP regulated by CMS.

Medigap regulated by the states.

CMS has no regulatory authority over Medigap plans.
That is true. However, the proposed rule states that if the carrier receives any government subsidy (MA, PDP, ACA), all of the carrier's products are subject to non-discrimination. Leverage. I am sure there is a way to spin off a MedSupp only division, but it does appear that life or prop/casualty carriers would be the only one exempt
