Homeless: The Untapped Demographic?

Really? That's an interesting theory.

No theory, it IS Reality.

Historian's will prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Cheney was the most powerful VP in the History of the US.

He wanted to punish Saddam, he was the Sec. of Defense in the first Gulf War.

GW Bush stopped him short of removing Saddam from power.

Cheney sidelined all Iraq's military and all BATH party members. Sent them home without pay......totally screwed this thing up, which caused massive insurgency.

Nature abhors a vacuum.

Cheney gives birth to ISIS.

Those are a lot of "accomplishments" for a guy with a bad heart! Must have been Cheney's pre-determined destiny to affect the world the way he did.

I don't know if I would classify those as accomplishments, they resemble failure in my eyes. Maybe if some of his grandkids would go over there we would learn more. Will that happen??????

That is despicable: all he did was mess those people up by trying to put a dollar in his own pocket. We'll just see what the end result is for him as well. In a word: sleazy. He is incompetent on many levels. When it comes to proof of income the policy will just fall off anyway. I'm not sure what he was thinking he would accomplish other than loss of business, loss of reputation, and possibly loss of his license over a few months income?

Wounded Warrior Project has vets go for walks downtown, talk to the homeless, find out if they're vets and uninsured, and if so they bring them to the VA to get their Veterans Benefits.

No one has ever taken issue with that whatsoever. No one in their right mind would.

I expected a fluff piece of journalism where an agent was doing about the same thing but for everyone, not just vets.

This guy's paradigm, giving him the benefit of the doubt, was that being insured with a high deductible was better then being uninsured and able to receive free generic drugs and being able to visit low-end clinics staffed by low-end providers.

He's not right, but not necessarily wrong wither.

Taken out of context, what would your opinion be if you were told that a charity like the salvation army was calling up poor people and talking them into canceling their health insurance and going uninsured in order to use the salvation Army's free clinics? Would you support that?

This is a complex issue with a philosophical debate behind it. The simplest solution though is for these "free" clinics to stop discriminating against people with insurance and simply treat the folks who fit their income requirements.
