wish you were right that the days are over. Sadly, in Michigan, we have had 1 major roofing company on a spree the last 3 years creating massive claims for roofs where tiny hail storms were...................all the storms happened to hit the nice new construction homes built in 2000-2007. somehow, the 100 year old homes, inner city homes & the houses less than 5 years were spared damaged from the devastating 1/16th of an inch hail storms. Many carriers paid the claims during 18 months of Covid, but are finally starting to deny the new batches coming up. Some carriers have petitioned the Attorney General to try to get the roofing company in legal trouble for being so aggressive. In a weird way, the carriers have been participating in discriminatory "red-lining" by paying for these new roofs on $300k-$2M homes newer homes, but not providing new roofs to inner city 100 year old $50k to $150k homes
