How long are we required to keep the hard copies of life applications

Most states have their own requirement for apps or policies or documents being retained by an agent. In SC, if I remember correctly, "records" must be retained for 5 years. What exactly counts as a "record" is not specified. lol

Scary isn't it. The guys who are suppose to tell us what to do and for how long, wait until it's requested to let us know the particulars. :skeptical:

Makes a guy wonder sometimes.

regardless of the political affiliation, most leaders at the state, federal or cabinet level are appointed to positions regardless of background or experience in the field they will be put in charge of for 4-8 years.................their qualifications are that they helped said leader get elected in some fashion. We have a person leading the health department in Michigan right now who decides what places are shut down & which are open even though the person has no medical degree or health department background. He has almost entirely political appointed work experience & some experience with an SAT education company. That would be like putting Betsy Devos in charge of Education or putting Ben Carson in charge of housing or John Kerry as Climate Czar, Pete Butigieg as Transportation Secy-------------------oh, never mind. This might be a pattern of why we struggle making any progress in getting out of feeling like we are in Ground Hogs movie sequel

Sounds like the IRS. You do all of this paperwork and we'll let you know if you screw it up, even though we already know the answer.

It's all deductible until you get audited.
