How to become an Adjuster?

I am a licensed P & C agent in 29 states right now. Do all of my business over the phone, but now I might be moving and thinking about how to become an adjuster.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to get my foot in the door as an adjuster?

Everywhere I look for a position, requires atleast 3+ years experience as an P & C adjuster.

If you do all your business over the phone, why stop just because you move? I realize you may have reasons, but ...

The adjusters I know don't make a ton of money. It is the polar opposite of an agent, where an agent is trying to help the customer, the adjuster is primarily concerned about not spending the insurance companies money while acting like he is trying to help the customer. Maybe the adjusters I have dealt with are different than the ones you have dealt with

The one P&C company I worked for trained them internally and they did lots of phone work, training, ect before they were promoted to the field.
