How Will the Health Reform Effect an Agents Day?

I have heard a lot back and forth from everyone about whether this will crush or uplift the industry. Thats fine, but how will it actually effect you on a daily basis, how will it effect your interaction with your customers and prospects?

It means instead of shaving once a week, I can push it out to every 2 weeks. Instead of wearing my red pajamas on Mondays, I can wear the same ones all week. And the money I'll save from not showering but every 3 days, should help me pay my fair share of taxes.

Are you serious man? This has been beat to death for over two years now. Is this designed to continually pimp your "Free Marketing Info"?

No I am serious, Most of the answers I have read are a mixture of I'm moving to Canada when the law goes into effect or (insert racist comment here) will just sit in a cushy call center. But no one has really gone into how it will change their daily interaction with their customers and what new markets open up with the change.

Not all mind you there have been one or two examples of what an agent is actually planning on doing but they are far and few between.

How will it effect your marketing? What marketing steps are you taking to insure success with the coming change?

The governors thought it was beat to death as well until they had to deal with it this week :)

Also Moonlight and Margaritas, I have read through many of your past posts, you have been on here quite a while and appear to be a very negative force and make very detrimental comments towards new members asking what you consider basic questions. Please stop as it takes away from the discussion.
Let me set you straight partner... I'm one of the four or five members with the most seniority on this forum (not to mention 21 years in the business). While I appreciate your advice and input, here's the truth: I was around here a long time before you, and I'll be here a long time after you're gone.

I am here for one purpose, that is to help agents grow their business. Most agents I talk to (successful ones & new guys) cant stand the level or erudite marketing that is available to this industry. My partner and I are going to do this by putting together amazing support, design and process using quantifiable methods testing. (That is what the email exchange was for, to gauge interest and understanding in a measurable way)

Now my background is in life & annuity not health, which is why I am asking this Newbie question.

I am not stopping until I accomplish what I set out to do and to do that I need a better understanding of how health insurance works from a veteran agents perspectives.

You are 100% right, 21 years in the business & 6 years on the forum, That more then gives you the right to tell me to shut up and sit down. Before you do that know that I am here to help, not sell junk leads, or build websites rip and run. I am here for the long haul.

With 21 years of experience you probably don't need a free beta site, so I'll just ask if you would be willing to help someone who is honestly trying to improve the way agents in the field get their work done? You have the experience and I could use the knowledge, the agents I build for could use the knowledge.

The word you are looking for is "affect."

It won't affect me at all until the cuts to Medicare Advantage happen. Then it COULD be a very positive thing for the agents who would rather deal with Medicare Supplements anyway.
