Agreed, the other thing is even if she was healthy, the company will contest regardless which will hold up the amount of time it'll take for their family to get the death benefit. Chances are they don't have 10k laying around and may need that money a lot sooner than later.
I'm reluctant to replace, anyway. I will replace when appropriate, like if their policy is overloaned, or they were sold a graded when they'll qualify for better, or reasons like that. But not just to save them a nickel, or to help them cash out their policy. (I like the RPU replacement idea a little better, when used judiciously.)

Yes, I'm very careful to explain how important it is to be completely truthful on the application, so I've never had very many rescissions. But few of my clients could handle the delay in a claim payment because their loved one died during contestability.
