Same Dave! I stayed positive, kept my head down and went to work! I didn't let people on the outside tell me what my business should look like and that was massive.

Glad you killed it man! Cheers to another great year!

Congrats on your best year! That's awesome!

2020 nearly matched my best year ever. I was actually having my best year BY FAR up until mid-October. The next couple of months I had some personal distractions that took time away from the business, and also affected my emotional state to some extent. Yet my 2020 production for those last 3 months was still nearly equal to my 2019 numbers.

Had I been able to "stay in the game" for the entire year I would have smashed all my previous records. I attribute the successful part of that equation to 1) avoiding negativity, including a negative view of the "COVID-affected" market, 2) being willing to adapt some of my methods, and 3) being especially responsive to client needs. I also had an incredible flow of both existing clients and referrals calling me to buy, so I didn't buy a single lead all year. (I did cold canvass an entire large apartment complex over a few days as I had time, but that was mainly to get rid of some extra dated giveaways. Picked up a few new clients by doing that!)

Entering 2021, I'm planning to focus on developing my existing book of business more. I already do a number of things to stay top of mind with my clients (which is why they call me when they want more coverage instead of mailing in a DM lead card to another agent). But I want to be more intentional about "mining" my book going forward.
