How's your agency doing?

Hah, Shawn, it's already been bumped today so don't shoot me for posting again, but I have to address Alex! You bust me up man, I feel you're very deserving of your self-proclaimed Theocratic Dictator, and you definitely deserve to have the largest spotlight on this forum shined on you every day.

I'd suggest a *stickied* thread that acted in the likes of a notice to the seasoned, lurkers, and newcomers of this forum to be educated on how to address Al3x when they're privy to the chance to address him.

I love the people I work with, and our leadership is definitely a unique group. They're very real and down to earth. I believe it was the owner Luke Hendricks and Zach Petersen out there. I just asked Zach if he remembers talking with you, and he said it was a great conversation, and he remembers it well. Apparently, at INA their location wasn't great, but they still had a decent turnout. The conferences this year have been absolute home runs for us. Most of the time it's Luke with either Zach or James, they're all super cool active people.

:D Thank you, I do enjoy the praise, although I do think my sarcasm will eventually lead to me either being banned. Alternatively, my employer will eventually find my insurance forums profile and do one of two things. 1. I get fired immediately. 2. I'm appointed the CEO so that my dictatorship can spill over into the real world.

Only time will tell the outcome.

Sarcasm aside, I think Shawn has a point, it never hurts to jump into conversations on here. You might also get more activity in the general forum.

What kinds of agencies do you see success with? Personal or commercial lines?

Yes, I think what Shawn said about contributing makes a lot of sense. I had thought of that before, but took the easy route and didn't follow through with it. I lurk often and never chime in. I'm going to be changing that and hopefully, I can help to contribute to the board in one way or another.

We have the most success with personal, and we do succeed with commercial as well but it's typically it's so much smaller of a market that the "awe" factor isn't as great. With personal insurance, it's usually so competitive that when we're able to turn on the faucet there is a major "awe" factor.

Where we don't have success is in Health & Life Insurance. At the beginning of 2022 we finally stopped selling to Life Insurance because we were piling up failed story after failed story, we eventually refunded all of our life clients and scrapped the option to even work with them. Our email campaigns provide success for Life, but unless the agent sells P&C + Life we still can't work with them because it's just want to unknown on what to expect.

I haven't ventured outside of the P&C Forum, that's a great idea, and even though I should have thought of that on my own I didn't. I just saw P&C and my focus/home went straight there. I'll be sure to browse the General forum and chime in where I can.

Another thing I failed to do, and I very easily could do, is just to contribute to the friendly sarcastic banter that exists on every forum. No need for special knowledge to contribute in that manner.

Thanks for the humor and legitimate laughs though, I appreciate that a ton Alex.

^^^^ We let Alex think he is the dictator! We do that for the new guys. What he does not know is he filled a void that was left vacant by an agent who left this earth a few years back unexpectedly. Alex's personality play is in the same ballpark.

I don't blame you, there are so many hours in the day. Sometimes it's difficult to decide what's worth pouring your time into. Not being a licensed insurance agent doesn't mean you can't have an opinion or advice on things though. Or you could just go harass the life insurance agents, I mean if they're not gonna buy from you anyways, no harm in burning the bridge right? .. May the bridges you burn light the path to your future success.

I was actually thinking from your post this would be a good fit for personal lines agents. I think we get personal lines lurkers, but I don't know of any personal lines agents that are particularly active on the forums.

I had no idea I filled a void! I just popped up here out of the blue one day and stuck around. I think the whole idea is to plant the seed and let it grow.. if I keep saying I'm the dictator, people might believe me one day
