I have worked with agents for years as a carrier rep. Frankly, I am surprised there has not been more crack down on some of the practices (not to mention stupidity) of some of the agents.

A wise consumer should interview agents rather than wasting time trying to learn our industry. Heck, I have been doing this longer than most and I still get tripped up from time to time. I can't imagine what consumers are dealing with.

I sell over the internet, and not just to young, healthy people. The average age of my client base is close to 50. Most of them have learned to jettison copay, low deductible plans and are loving it.

This business is not easy but the one thing I still enjoy is helping people match their need with their budget.

My clients seem to appreciate it as well.
