Humana Won't Cover Maternity

Normal pregnancy with no complications will run around $10K, but that includes discounts for having insurance. I think out of pocket for us was $2000 if we hadn't met our out of pocket maximum. The good news is we got a lot of credit card points!

(The baby was good news too!)

Nice to see your priorities.

1) Saved $8K for delivery.
2) We got a kid.

our insurance will not cover maternity so doesnt she have the right to apply for medicaid?

Why do you want the taxpayer to foot the bill?

Do you have a problem taking personal responsibility for your actions?

Thankfully people take responsibilty for intentional acts like making a baby instead of transferring the cost to an insurance carrier.

Maternity should not be covered by health insurance. Period.

Not sure how that would resonate with OBGYNs. Not that docs love insurance companies, just saying...
