I Got Hit by a Police Car!

If the car books for $1500, just ask for around $1750 to cover the other costs involved. Heck, also add 10 days of rental car coverage at $30 a day for the time it will take to do the repairs. They will make some adjustments, but this is low enough they won't spend a lot of time on it.

Usually if you want to keep the car, you pay salvage value (what they get in auction for the parts), figure 10 - 20% of the value of the car, probably around $300, so they will deduct this from the payout.

The payout from the city vs the payout from the insurance company will probably be very similar. This is likely below the city deductible for an insurance claim, so if they assume liability, I'm sure they will write the check that they deem correct.

If there were no injuries, this is likely pretty straight forward.

What does that have to do with the price if tea in China? :skeptical:

It looks like cafefeedz is determined to give a nonsensical answer on every post. I am guessing to build up some post count so he can offer us some amazing software/list/job we can't live without.
