Hi, I have some questions about being an independent insurance broker. I currently have a very good tax business ( 450+ Clients) in California. Unfortunately, the tax session is only 4 months and I am looking at adding additional services to offset my tax business. One of my clients suggested that I get into the insurance business. I have read some of the postings. I understand that I need to get my California insurance Lic. Then, I need to get appointments. For Medical/Life, I should go with HealthChoice One. For Auto and P&C- Farmers.
My questions:
1. Will Farmers insurance have an issue if I sell medical insurance from HealthChoice
2. Will HealthChoice have a issue with me selling P&C and auto insurance with Farmers.
3. Can I sell them under my tax business name or a new name like zma business services offering tax and insurance services.
4. I have seen a business that had the Farmer's Insurance name on the front window with the name of a mortgage business.
5. Will Farmers and HealthChoice give me the support and flexibility to run my own business.
6. If you have any other insurance companies that I should look into getting apartments?
Thanks for all your help.
