I really should be working

I could never give away my tools! Even though I may have duplicates. Nuts and bolts? Never know when you'll need them....just can't get rid of that stuff! While I no longer work with my hands for a living, my tools are a part of me!

Always be prepared.

My daughter married a young guy over 30 years ago. I didn't really like it. He was a nice enough guy. But she was 18. Fast forward, they are going strong.

I call parenting, failing in the right direction. I want to pass along my values to my children as best I can. Theirs is a choice to listen or not, mine is to live aligned to what I profess to be true as best I can.

Mates are important choices.

So far I don't feel the erg to clean weapons while speaking to the guy in question.:laugh:

...we'll see. ;)

Yeah man now I find myself buying stuff I gave away a month ago. Of course things like my old router I gave away I just replaced with a new a new dewalt 20 V. So upgrading to to new stuff i don't need. And starting a new bucket of 'Perfectly good screws and nuts'. I just had two sheds delivered. One to store stuff that isn't worth the cost of the shed. The other specifically for my tools and work bench. And of course, I had to order new tool chest. All for an old insurance guy. Makes no sense I know. But I am old, so I get a pass.

And truth.

Values. Agreed. That is our duty and right. As parents, ours alone.

My SIL is a big boy. 6'4" wears a size 14. So i would definitely have to cheat. He was a little less corn fed when he was 20 years old and dating my daughter. But still remembers me looking up and telling him if he ever hurt my daughter..... Now, my girl can handle her own. And now my granddaughters have their dads and uncles. Grandpa just wants to buy them stuff and drink beer.

So, last month I was cleaning out a cabinet. I found this sealed decanter I bought as part of an estate auction years ago. Captain Cook commemorative. 100 month old Jim Beam Bottled in 1978. So 52 year old Beam.

Not sure if it would poison me or not.

Not! It is very nice.

My parents had one of those in a Ducks Unlimited bottle from 1976.

My sister and I drank some a few years ago.

It tasted like cherry coke mixed with vinegar.
