If Elected, Will Pres Romney Repeal Health Reform?

Health Care

"On his first day in office, Mitt Romney will issue an executive order that paves the way for the federal government to issue Obamacare waivers to all fifty states. He will then work with Congress to repeal the full legislation as quickly as possible.

In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own citizens. The federal government's role will be to help markets work by creating a level playing field for competition."

I'm also curious to see, if he "will" repeal it.

How many insurance agents will put their political views aside to potentially save their career.

We could try something unique and have a mix. For example, we could have a single payer system but only for cat coverage - say $10,000 ded. Then the private market can come up with a myriad of products below 10K.

If he wants a 2nd term... he will.

Most presidential candidates will detail their 1st 100 days in office. This one will HAVE to be on the agenda if he wants to build his reputation as a conservative president.

If he doesn't do it within the 1st 100 days, his days as president will be numbered.

I'm screwed if that happens. IL will go the single payor route, without a doubt. They've been trying to do it for years, and this will provide funding (and justification) for it to happen. The MA system will look downright good for agents comparably.

Too bad Barney Frank was not as cognizant of the problems w/ Fanny Mae.Oh that's right a little "conflict" of interest as his "special friend" was intimately involved.

Not a bad idea... Hate to see families going bankrupt trying to care for their loved ones.

Actually, I think single payor over $100K would work well.
A health policy where the most it could pay out is $100K for the year would be pretty affordable, especially if it could be rated based on risk.
