Congress wants to give us Obamacare but don't want to give up their plan.

Is it because their plan has $20 copays, a $300 major medical deductible and we (taxpayers) pay 69% of the cost for them? Or is it for some other reason?

What they don't want you to know about the health insurance plan for Congress.

Really, our Congress is no different than the Soviet Union was.

It was all about the "masses" and the "common good" of the people. Karl Marx did not understand human nature.

In the Soviet Union, the folks in control had chauffeured cars, dachas in the country, and the best food and drink available. No standing in line for bread for them.

If you think about the new private jets our Congress just ordered, together with the perks they get, is there really any difference?

Well, yes. I don't think even the politburo had the nerve to fly around in private jets.

What's wrong with this picture? What the hell have things come to? Now Pelosi is calling people who gripe Nazis (she said protesters at town hall meetings were mobs that "wore swastikas"). Is the next step setting up a gulag for people who have a different opinion?

Just allow politicians to have these perks and it reinforces in their own minds just how special and important they are.

Threre is only one answer to this and we have to demand it:

1) TERM LIMITS.
2) SAME HEALTH AND RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR THEM THAT THE REST OF US HAVE.

True the other thing that interesting is that we all were led to believe that all parts of the Soviet Union were unproductive. However, states such as Georgia were highly productive but their productivity and resources were sapped over and over again to prop up the rest of the Soviet Union. Their job was to be the breadbasket for all. What did they get in return. Nada. Everything gets watered down to the lowest common denominator, or even lower, under socialism.

I remember listening to the radio when the Berlin wall fell and all the east German/Ruskie cars came toodling over into west Berlin. The radio commentor was talking about how loud and polluted the streets immediately became with all these cheap government cars running around. Parallels to where we will end out now that the government owns auto manufacturing and we will ultimately the care Pelosi thinks we should have? You decide.

Obama says everyone will get the same plan as Senators do so probably quite a few people on Medicaid will want to switch to that plan. Not sure if they get the gym membership with that or not.

The difference is that the USSR has already fallen apart and we are still on the path of losing the Union.

There is no doubt in my mind a war is starting between the people and those elite types in Washington.

Just like in the USSR, our media is controlled and manipulated. IF it were not for the internet, would the MSM ever have investigated the House Bill? I doubt it! The MSM is a lap dog for the current administration. I recently read that one of the media types, Andrea Mitchell said (paraphrase) People with insurance who oppose ObamaCare "may not know what's good for them".

Just like the USSR had their information police. The White House now has their email address to collect information about other citizens that may be disseminating information about the Obama health care plan.

Unless there is a dramatic change this is not going to end well for either side. It would be foolish to consider that our Union of States can't go the route of the old USSR. Pretty much. I went almost 20 years without watching television except for major events. Regular TV was all crap. With the internet, cable TV, and radio, I can pick my way around a little now and pull down info rather than deal with what is on three networks. Parts of rural America have not had cable or internet all that long, and that is not all that bad. Now I go by some guys shack out in the woods. He doesnt have a pot to pee in but he is sitting out front talking on the cell phone and has a satellite dish the size of Anna Nicole Smith's bra cup sitting on his front lawn. You go over to the university and you will see a guy and girl sitting on a bench together. Each talking on the cell phone to someone. Probably they are hoping to meet someone new but can't figure out how to make tht happen. Progress I guess.
