I'm An SEO Expert. Ask Me Anything !

dang......I am gonna have to get me some of that SEO......

Extremely high ROI on a well executed SEO Campaign. Especially when you look at the the lifetime value of an insurance customer. SEO professionals know what having a high rank is worth to your company and they change as such.
From a SEO prospective...why should I make you rich and make only $300 per month?

You should be paid what someone is willing to be paid.

Of course, if you're that good why not just partner with an insurance agent and do a commission split?

It doesn't take a lot of money to get great SEO work. The sooner agents learn that, the sooner they won't pay someone like you (who may be GREAT) a ton of money when they can get the same GREAT work at a much lower price.

Also, I tend to believe anyone calling themselves an SEO EXPERT or an expert in anything is to be avoided.

I normally don't refer to myself as an expert but I wanted to get a discussion going. I use to do consulting but I now work in house for a large e-commerce site. I am developing a Michigan insurance site as we speak...that;s why I have such an interest in this forum....plus I dont mind help anyone out.

Your SEO can make me rich?

Do you have any existing sites you can show us?

I'd rather not, my michigan insurance site is no where near complete but I will keep you guys updated ...again I want to stress I am not soliciting any seo services or anything. I am new to driving insurance traffic and I wanted to chat with other professionals in this area

An expensive SEO campaign can also just be a great way to lose money. For around $300 one time I helped an agent (with an admittedly somewhat established site) go from page 8-10 on google (position 78-98ish) spike to page one on google along with page two for most terms and that took less than two months. Ongoing SEO is important, but I don't see why any indy agent should be paying more than $300/month. Admittedly I'm fairly new at this, but I think results speak volumes more than claiming to be an expert. I learned most of what I know from another "amateur", but overall this really doesn't seem to be horribly complicated.

To answer your question though, if you want to make more money, you should take it a step further and use your SEO skills to actually sell. I disagree with your premise that you would "make me rich", but even if I did, the difference is that I have a license and have to actually convert the leads into sales which is much more difficult than SEO.
