Looking through old threads re Lumico, it seems like they jumped in the market in 2018.
I guess 6 years is a sold run for a rookie backed by a large, well known reinsurance carrier.
Never paid much attention to them and never contracted. Looks like they ran 3 years under the Lumico flag, then another 3 flying Elips.
Lumico market data not showing on CSG, only 3 years of Elips. 2023 data shows 800 lives in GA, 23k nationally. GA LR is 90% and 99% nationally.
Ouch!
Good growth from 2022 to 2023 but LR went in the crapper.
Some of the new guys/gals should read the older threads. You might learn something about riding a mustang right out of the shoot.
I spot checked Lumico on CSG for 6/2021. GA LR 106%, nationally 95%. Apparently Swiss Re didn't burn through enough money shoring up Lumico so they decided to fund Elips.
Doing the same thing but expecting different results. Or, "Hold my beer" . . .
