Independent Agency Cluster in FL

We are looking for any independent commercial P/C agency cluster operating in FL. We are a small independent agency and are having hard time to get appointed with most commercial carriers. The objective is to reach the markets and keep the book of business without sacrificing the renewal commissions.

Slbig.com (Standard Lines) is nothing more than an Excess/Surplus lines GA. Yes, they do have one or two admitted carriers, but that is about it.

What you really need to compete is access to admitted carriers which can be gained by joining a cluster. SIAA imho is the best.

No, they don't. For example, do they have Liberty Mutual, Main Street Group, Travelers, One Beacon and etc? No way...

Morstan is okay, but again, Morstan just like Standard Lines is an excess/surplus lines GA.

You want admitted carriers IF you want to be competitive.
