I'm not a huge dental fan, but I woke up to a task list with 10+ people who asked for dental after we did their medical.

Anybody have a favorite indy dental carrier?

I email them two docs on the bcbstx dental plan and hope they don't call back and want to buy it.

I usually just recommend a dental discount plan off my DPBroker website link, combined with H.S.A. (discounts then tax deduction), is the best way.

If they want insurance, I recommend the Assurant Dental (any dentist), and typically with a medical app as the client gets 30% off the price making it VERY compelling.

Otherwise, I don't mess with it.

ME TOO, LOL! BCBSIL says that they are now selling stand-alone dental, but there's no way to do it online. As Tater said, for under age 19, it's a wonderful plan.

All of you are missing the boat on dental insurance. I can build a new house with how much dental insurance I have sold this OEP. It is all about proper disclosure and proper expectations. Most agents are so negative about dental it is a lost cause...

I would gladly post 2 or 3 good options, but every time I do it gets picked apart. Dental is an easy sale and should be on 50% of plans all day long. I have plans from $16/mo to $69/mo, pick your poison...

Email me. I promise I wont pick it apart. I just want ease of use at the sales level

Go ahead, Joe, and post it. We pick apart everything so we can drill down to the best of the best. I would like to know good dental options. I've been like the rest of the crowd with 3 suggestions - 1) call your dentist about which discount dental plan they are on and buy that one; 2) Delta Dental but it's expensive and has waiting periods; 3) take a group option if you can.
