Individual Health Insurance for 75yo

I have a 75 year old who is a US citizen that has lived abroad for about 50 years. She has just returned to live in the US near her daughter. She will qualify for Medicare, but she can not apply until Jan (general enrollment period) and her coverage will not begin until July 2011. We have about a year to go until she is covered.

Is there individual health coverage available to her until she can get on Medicare? If so, what companies and types of coverage would you recommend?

Is this available in all states? I have a client with a substantial worth (future LTC/Annuity sales) and will not have part B until 7/11. He will lose his COBRA in August. He did not enroll back into Part B in January and therefore will be without any medical coverage for a year. He will buy a med supp then from me, however, I need something for him now. I will show him this, but need someway to sign him up. Any takers? Or can I get contracted with them?

What calendar are you using?

The Julian calendar makes the post 3 weeks ago. The Hebrew calendar would be 3,760 years ago.

I guess I should have clarified, September of 2006 is almost 4 years ago. That was when you posted the link about the coverage. billyg posted about 3 weeks ago.

The question still remains, how do I go about getting my client on this program or can I get contracted with them? A lot of times, this forum may be better suited if people aren't smarta$$es and they just help people with questions. I have a serious need for a client that I saw yesterday and I am trying to help them, thanks for your input.

Either way my client needs coverage now. She needs it starting 8/1/10. I took the stuff off of the website to them today and they liked it. They want to get it for her. Can you get me contracting paperwork for them or are you contracted? I just want to get them covered, well her. They are in need of health insurance desperately and will do this now.

I simply called them directly for contracting. You can download the application from their website. The only issue you may have is that they told me it typically takes 4 weeks for processing and underwriting. But there is nothing stopping you from starting today.
