I am awaiting resolution on an insurance claim i filed nearly 8 months ago. Some photography equipment was stolen from me, and since it's practically antique I don't have a receipt (i bought it used) So the insurance told me the delay is due to not having documentation. However recently i got contacted and they told me their investigation is complete and they would present me an adjustment for my review and consideration. My question is are they going to finally pay my claim? They really pressed for a receipt but really who has receipts for used equipment? Someone told me i should use a private adjuster. I just dont know if they would serve a purpose in my situation being that i dont have the receipt for the equipment.
