Insurance company acting as Trustee

The exception for tax-deferral for a Trust "acting as agent" of a natural person is still a grey area.

Unless the IRS has issued a Ruling (other than the few private letter rulings it has already issued), that I am unaware of.

Some Tax Attorneys are ok sayings its deferable. Others are not.

There is no clear IRS ruling on this to date, last I checked.

Per the code of law, if taken verbatim, it's not deferrable for all.

The IRS has ruled on certain Trusts. But not all.
