I am calling bullshyt....

they sent you a check 18 MONTHS ago, You didnt cash the check til 12 MONTHS ago....

are you waiting this long to get the car fixed, is the shop waiting this long to get paid for fixing the car?

You thought since you were such a GREAT client, the insurance company decided to send you money, for no reason what so ever?

If you are going to call someone out, you ought to at least read the thread first.

I assume once they realized they had made the mistake, it sounds like they were also up against the statue of limitations. They probably had to send a demand letter to keep from crossing over the 2 years and making it uncollectable.

Sometimes laws make for strange correspondence. I've learned this the hard way over the years.
