I am looking to sell insurance for the latino market.

Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Life, Car Insurance, and renters insurance are all products I would like to offer.

But since my target crowd is the newly arrived I am looking for insurance that doesnt require Social Security #'s.

Can you please let me know where to look? Its hard to find this out there

Do they have green cards?

There are a couple of companies that offer life to people without SSN's. First Colony is one as I recall.

New Era used to write DI and mini med on those who don't have Social's.

What state are you in?

Check with your carriers. In CA, Anthem BC does not require a SSN to obtain a health insurance policy, only 3 months residency and a green card.

I'd be worried about the cancelatation /lapse rate here.

The Latino market is a great one to get involved with, moreso here in California, but it is also fraught with hidden minefilelds, not the least of which is dealing with the proper documentation.

Be careful, quick money up front in terms of commision, can also mean the mother of all charge back at the end of the month.

I concur. When I first came across the Hispanic market I thought I hit a gold mine. They are fantastic prospects. I've never had anyone who didn't want to buy what I had to show them. Only problem is they buy TOO MUCH and I've learned to keep the premiums lower than what they wanted so they could KEEP paying.

Also, look at cross-border carriers and plans. In CA, both Anthem Blue Cross and Health Net have Saludo kinds of plans with cross border network. If they can get services both in the states and in Mexico, then they may be more apt to keep the coverage.

Agree with Franz, keep the premium low for them.

I can only speak for health insurance - I have and will continue to service the Hispanic market. Hardly any health insurance carriers require socials that I deal with (Aetna, UHC, BCBS, Unicare to name a few). There are some state by state variations and also other requirements, for example most require you have been in this country for six months.

I have other carriers that require no length of time in this country and no socials - it can vary drastically from company to company.

Obviously all markets have there "issues" but to ignore the hispanic market in this day and age is insane. It is the future growth of America - learn to embrace it, adapt, or go out of business - those are your choices.

If anyone gets any spanish speaking health prospects send them my way!
