Hi there fellow Insurance people, I have my Life and Health lic(california). i don't want to be a sales agent, i want to pursue something like an independent consultant or something for big companies.
examples
i go to their client sites do some risk analysis.

do claims or underwriter.

what else is out there besides sales that you can do independently for companies possible setting up your own company.

Please point me towards right direction. anything

thanks

Do you have anything besides an insurance lic? Any degrees or anything else? Have you ever worked in this kind of field before?

I have some friends that do what your talking about, but they had to work their way up in the business.

thank you Mark and Chumps for your replies. my background is mainly IT and mortgages in the last 8 years. I got into Insurance through one of those multi marketing schemes. I have no degree and neither have time right now to get one. i can get any certificates that are required or start entry level. but where and which one. With the economy getting so bad i want to shift away from sales. I have sold Annuities for 2 years, now people run when they hear about insurance products(since after AIG).

thanks again.
