the reason I want to do this myself is that it build me up in the eyes of the client much more than handing them a coupon.

fair market value..... well there are websites that will do your tax returns for free heck even turbo tax offers a free version.
I think I could argue my point that this is way below the $25 yearly limit for gifts if it ever came to that.

Is $25 the limit in your state?

I don't think anyone with any gray matter between the ears is going to buy that you do taxes for less than $25, that's not fair market value. Admittedly it doesn't take an accounting genius to do everyone's taxes, $25 doesn't even cover the cost of turbotax, let alone a competent professional. Good luck explaining that to the powers that be. Is it really worth it?

Post a set of tax services prices(high) in your office, then post a discounted price for your IN HOUSE CLIENTS

You will still make some money off of them and make them feel like they are getting a special deal/PERK for being one of your clients

Thinking it over your probably right Josh, I don't think IC will buy it and it is not worth the risk to try.
