I know there has been talk that they are planning to roll this out very soon but that's about it. Anybody have better info? Also if they are doing this they should have a drug list right? Or is that expecting too much...

Check the other thread "Don't Trust 5 Star Approvals." if you haven't already. The script check is mentioned in it.

5-Star has always had a drug list.

But are they going to run script check? I have not heard of this until now. I am surprised.

I don't know if you are in our group or not. We have mentioned it twice in our weekly agent calls. If you are under a different FMO (shame on you) they are also aware of changes coming.

5-Star plans to have script checks fully in place sometime this fall. They are likely using them on a trial basis right now so it doesn't roll out untested like the ObamaPlan enrollments are doing.

They have a revised application that will roll out at the same time as the script check. Again, talk to your up line. No huge changes to the app. Mainly rewording a few things to make the questions more clear. Also tells that the insured is covered when they sign the app and bank draft form.

I get recruiting info from I's every wek that touts the fact that 5 Star has no script check. Seems my IMO is the out of step with the rest?

You must be talking about spam emails. Not facts from your upline.

Why would an agent want to write a company that doesn't use a script check [who plans later to periodically run checks on it's issued policies, aka u/w after the fact]...?

Reminds me of Time Ins for maj med back in the early 80's. They issued everything until you had a claim, then they asked for Drs records and soon thereafter said "NO" to the claim!

Bottom line is, there are way too many other FE companies who offer solid and consistent u/w to risk a problem of shoddy u/w practices. Sounds like 5 Star is close to fixing this but until they do, can't see it.
