Is 5 Star Doing a Script Check Now?

It's for real that 5 Star claims what TK said but it's not for real in how it works with them.

They were claiming that they were not getting replacement forms because they were sent after the PAC form. So I started sending in the replacement forms after page 4 and before the EFT forms. My fax would show that all pages went through and I would a confirmation fax from 5 Star that all 7 or 8 pages were received but then I have to email the replacement forms to Rafael everytime once given a policy number because they were not received.

I've tried just about everything with them on their faxing issues. But rest assured, they are "working on it".

It seems they would hire someone to come in and fix their issues.

For real? The last fax I sent them the last 2 pages were a replacement form, all 8 pages went through and confirmed by a fax back confirmation page from 5 star.

The method of payment form is the last page their system will recognize. Nothing can come after that.

My agents have also experienced the issue of missing replacement forms. I suspect since they aren't barcoded somehow their server isnt accepting the page. Doesn't matter what order its sent that page is frequently not received on their end. They have told me they are working on the issue, it creates frustration for them as well I'm sure.

I called five star today and was told that they had a glitch with the phone interview company on receiving the recorded interviews. They are supposed to be working overtime to get things in order thus the delay in policies placed to active status.....

I know there has been talk that they are planning to roll this out very soon but that's about it. Anybody have better info? Also if they are doing this they should have a drug list right? Or is that expecting too much...

Many people responded with opinions clearly not knowing what they are talking about. Very few facts in this thread. Yes 5-star around the 1st of 2014 will be rolling out a new app and prescription drug check. NO 5-star does not do a prescription drug check currently. 5-star is owned by the Armed Forces Benefits Association, founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower, (seniors love that), and the best company to write for clients with a rough health history. The reason you would write them is they pay higher then any other carrier, advance higher then every other carrier, and O yeah they only have a 2 year look back on heart attack stroke and cancer. There is no other carrier that will approve and pay at that level. Direct bill, credit card, or pac.

Even once the prescription drug check is in effect please let me know of a carrier on daily pay, who advances 80%, pays on approval(not issue), will take a type 1 diabetic on insulin and give them a preferred rate, are competitively priced, allow you to do monthly bill, O yeah and advance you on it.... I'll wait.... If you are even talking about 5-star with your client then your not going to be offering them any preferred products, 80% of seniors aren't going to be in perfect health.

I guess mine are working, 2 others last week had replacement forms and they at least are showing replacement in my portal que, however, that may be from the questions asked on the app about replacements

Oxford pays a lot higher. 120% on approval CSI and Liberty Bankers both take DE. There are quite a few companies that only look back 2 yrs some even 1 yr. Almost FEs give preferred for diabetics. 5Star is not all that special. If you are only getting 80% you need a new IMO
