For smaller agencies or individual producers I suggest Agency Matrix. Started my own agency in 2012 using Agency Matrix. Current book $1M+ mainly Comm. PC and Group Health. You purchase the level of service you need from $89 month per office. Wish I would have gotten this as a 1099 agent to keep track of my book.
No when I started working for an agency myself and prob the majority of agents relied on the Agency to keep track of everything. My job was to sell. I wish I had the data base of clients I worked on and not just in the agencies management system. Yes you can do a spread sheet but for 49$ a month it would have may storage and access a lot easier.
