Is This a Fair Split from a General Agency?

65% plus 50% of broker fees. I am brand spankin' new to the industry. This does include hand holding and training.

Any info would be appreciated. I am in Orange County, CA. Looking to get hooked up with a GA asap.

Thanks.

E&O included. No leads and I live over an hour away from that office so will be working from home.

Don't know the names of the systems that I'll have access to but there are many.

what master agency you signed up for? they really take advantage of you cause you're new 65% is digestible but 50% broker fee is too much you're the broker not them they get their 35% split did you try to negotiate? there's many master agencies out there, smartchoice, insuranse noodle is just few of them you shoul look em up.

Not sure about renewals... I will check.

How did all of you get your start? Training, etc?

Started at an agency that paid a draw then left after I felt like I could do it on my own. I found an agency that let me write with them and they have every market I could ever need.

I started writing with an agency with 65% on new & renewals, for 2 years and then I started getting my own direct appointments.

Thanks for the info. Is it safe to negotiate with them for more? Or will they be less likely to spend time training me if I do that?

I haven't signed up anywhere. That is why I have posted this question.
