Issue Vs Draft

Stupid question here, but can a policy be issued and inforce before the first draft? Looks like the answer is yes.

Yes. Depends on the company. I could not tell you who does what. I do not track that only that we got paid. Most companies are pretty good at getting commissions out but mistakes happen.

Personally I would prefer that the companies would wait for the draft would process first.

Yes and no. A company can issue a policy and make it effective before the draft date. Should the draft fail to clear, the policy is no longer effective and you've just shortened your grace period.
