I posted this in the life forum, but it's probably more suited here.

Has anyone ever heard of them? I just ran into a lady that has a policy with them. She doesn't know where her policy is and doesn't know if its term or WL or UL. She said the premium goes up every year on her birthday. She's 59.

I'm assuming this is a term product.

I explained the difference between term and whole life and she said why would anybody buy term. If its term, I'll try to replace with a WL.

Just another life insurance company. They go for the career model. Sort of like Mass Mutual, except their products are more middle class. I don't recall anything special about them. Just another middle class career company.

Kansas City Life is a family owened stock company. They mostly sell Term UL and non par WL. They own Old American too.
