He single handedly crafted the "expected results" of allstate agents which went to variable compensation, in part...controlled by customer surveys. Even if the person specifically wrote down "MY PROBLEMS ARE WITH ALLSTATE AND NOT MY AGENCY..." if they scored <9 it hurt the agency and screwed w/ their comp. This man is anti agent and you just watch.

This system makes me want to throw up. We keep getting dinged because people transfer to our office and are pissed off at Allstate because of their former agent. They fill out the survey and we get the shitty results.

In all reality, it is a great organization. I respect what they do there. They are a great National Partner carrier with us.


I hear Joe is a Very Smart man! I will be anxious to see what changes he makes right out of the gates.

Is he the same CEO that after Katrina said these losses are unacceptable to our STOCKHOLDERS??? Allstate did the absolute worst job of taking care of their policy holders.

Allstate has not had a single good upper exec. in many years, IMO.

There were rumors that Scientology crept into the management and
that is what led to them being so uncaring and conservative.

I have a fairly large pension with Allstate (25 years worth of stock),
and I just looked at my Nov. 2015 report. I was shocked to find it
was worth slightly less than the Nov. 2014 report.

So the market has pretty high gains, yet Allstate is worth less than
a year before, and that is with no hurricanes (which is what they used
to blame stock pullbacks on).

I am thinking about dumping the stock after Jan 2016 (after the Jan.
effect), and I will have no ties to Allstate at all.
