I have been working the Duck for about six months, as many have already discussed the over saturation, and turn and burn culture AFLAC provides. Almost all business in my geographical area are owned by the duck so I am looking to jump ship and head over to all state work place or Colonial (the 2 other players in this area) Colonial was apparently chased out by aflac some years ago and I dont think there is any managment in my state for colonial, I know that AWD has a presence and is making a big push but no real management which is fine by me so which would be better of the two?

Sounds like to me you should either keep duck-walking or find another line in the insurance business to sell.

I don't get it... what are the reasons to suggest he just stays with AFLAC? Knowing that so many businesses in the area are receptive to employee-funded supplemental insurance, wouldn't you think that showing a comparison in favor of an alternative would have good odds of working? Is it just the lack of teams in place already?

Because they are the dominant player in his town. If he wants to stay with voluntary benefits the duck is it.

Right, why stick to another company with less name recognition peddling the same products. The solution is to find addition products that he can sell as well as sell AFLAC.

Because, there are many accounts that are ripe for the picking... They do not belong to me, so I have zero chance of getting commissions from those accounts that are already receptive and may be dissatisfied with thier current AFLAC service.
