Lead in California - Orange County

Re: Lead in California ( Orange County

You got a gift card, so what. You got a big steak dinner when the guy may have made thousands. Woopi.

I would have got an NR license on that case and asked to split the case.

You are going to do real well here. There are a lot of neo-cons, such as moonlight and winter who share your "greed is good" philosophy. It's everyone for themselves, and if you are sick and can't afford insurance, then the hell with you.. you just die.

What makes you even a greater success story is that you are a LEAD VENDOR... and there is no other sector of this industry where greed is so richly rewarded.

Yup (or more precisely as winter would say "heh yep") you are going to fit right in here, you are going to find lots of customers here, and I have no doubt that in no time at all you will be one of the wealthiest subscribers in this venue. Are you in the right place... or what?

Of course sooner or later you will piss off someone enough and they will do what they can to "out" you... and that won't be good for business. My crystal ball says that you are somewhere in the Madison, WI area... maybe an ex-Bankers Life employee? And I'm going to guess you are this guy.

I'll bet someone can find Bob Stelflue and Jeff Murphy. Of course you said that:

Murphy was a hard drinking , cocaine sniffing ( not uncommon for managers at all companies in the eighties) lowlife who beat his wife, screwed everyone out of what he could, and had no vision for his branch or his company.

... so maybe he might be interested in helping determine just whom you might be? I'm sure someone can track him down... give him a call... show him what you wrote.

Jeez, if you are going to post from the shadows you need to learn how to do it better... and both the *** winter and the human-garbage moonlight are the best. I've done my utmost to find out who they are... I'm going to have to hire an internet "super-sleuth" who knows more tricks than I do.

One more thing. You came on here and pissed off Rick. That was NOT the smartest thing to do. I know from my own experience.

Anyway, keep on keepin' on. You're doin' great. No doubt those ten-spots are in the mail to you as I write this.

Re: Lead in California ( Orange County

Our honest abe, who claims to have $300 in his website, requires payment of $10 for a lead. So technically, all he wants is to be reimbursed for his cost to generate leads. Fair enough.

He is advertising here for free. So I guess he'll also be paying Sam for part of what he earns from "offering" leads on Sam's site.

Hate to think the Elf is a mooch.

Re: Lead in California ( Orange County

I just don't know where you guys get this attitude. I bought a lead on here and that is where I got the idea. It is an occasional thing. I am not in the lead business.

But I am in business.

I spent hundreds of dollars on my website and get very few leads, none of which have been in my states.

Why should I give someone hundreds of dollars in the form of the precious lead, especially after the comments ( and personal emails) I have received here.

Agents on this forum work all day long to increase their business which includes buying leads; just as I do.

For the life of me, I can not understand why some of you are looking for a handout.

I have explained before that quid pro quo does not work, despite another posters belief that it does.

An exclusive lead is gold and nearly a sure sale, unlike the ones we buy that the prospect gets bombarded by 15 callers.

This occasional hot lead could put an agent back on track.

PLEASE offer ME one in one of my states for TEN MEASLY BUCKS.

I will not complain and go on some campaign promoting that buying a lead from another agent ( who you do not know from Adam) is beneath me.

Georgia was purchased. California went stale. You agents missed out on a sure sale to make your point.

Clearly I will survive without the $10. It's the principle of the thing for you, and it's the principle of the thing for me as well.

You ask "why" and perhaps you should consider "why not"?

Someone mentioned you could have been up front and stated that the lead was for sale. Being direct about it would have let to a completely different outcome than what is occurring now.

Al posted some valuable thoughts to consider.

Other than that, just let it go.....best wishes to you.

Re: Lead in California ( Orange County

I have not read "Al's" or any other comments as you are all on my ignore list.

Georgia's lead indicated a cost and all I got were a bunch of smart remarks.

Then mooch PM'd me like I forgot his three remarks on the last post.

Should have indicated a cost? This is my major point; that you folks think you should get a lead that will make you hundreds FREE from a stranger.

You all started it with your remarks on the Georgia thread. I admit I baited you in California to see which mooch would come out.

Turned out to be the big mouth that started it.

Who wanted a free lead but was too big to pay for it.

I can't hold it inside any longer. I am here simply to try to get free leads. In fact, my entire book of business is based on waiting for mega asshats to post they have a lead, grab it, write the business, and then wait for another handout.

I would gladly pay $10 for the lead if half of it went to Sam. After all, wouldn't want anyone to think Elf is a mooch.

What's the over/under on this crap winding up in the Fight Club?

Rick

you should never ask for anything back when offering a lead or you can try and work out a verbal agreement of some sort but other than that you just have to offer the lead

That seems to be the concensus here, however it is not the way I see it.

I paid for a lead here and that is how I got the idea. I give leads to my friends in town, but not to strangers.

I am not in the habit of giving hundreds of dollar away to strangers.

I just paid my lead bill and can not get over this thread, and how you "all see the way it should be."

Fine. But don't tell me what to do.

The way I figure it I was helping someone out, and I head to listen to this.
