It is much harder on your back sitting then it is moving around. However, driving long distances can be harder and more stressful on your back.

Take it easy JD and good luck with your recovery.

Telesales, ...lol yea give Greg a call!.:twitchy:

Yes, the driving is the worst. I overdid it with work around the house over the weekend since my back was doing so much better. This is more like an overuse thing that I've had before than the ruptured disk.

I drove an hour and a half to my first appointment yesterday morning and then a half hour to my second one. By the time I had gotten through all my scheduled stops it was hard to stand straight up. I was going to do some doorknocking to fill out the day but I had already written 4 apps for $2800 ap, my back was hurting so I just went home. It's much beter today but still not to where I can do my walking part of my therapy. Maybe by Friday I will be able to that part too?

Yes, best thing is always listen to your back. If you have access to a treadmill it can help wonders, or just do some door knocking on your free time between appointments. I think the bad thing will be scheduling your leads that are an hour away but that might be where all the good folks are for FE.

Actually that's not true. Sitting here at the desk is much more painful for my back than walking around.
hey you are going to have to get with the modern program.. You don't do telesales sitting at your desk. You get a wireless headset, walk around waving your arms and gesturing so the prospect on the phone can "feel" your emotion.. That way your back gets plenty of exercise and you close 100% with 100% long term persistency.

Haha!!:D Yes, I have heard that spiel too. I had a a manager that did all his training calls while standing up so they he could "emote". We only knew he was standing because he told us.

Raise your desk up and make the calls standing and walking short distances on a headset...There solved it for you.

You need to get one of those, hang upside down things, we see on TV. I have been thinking about getting one myself. My luck I would get stuck in the up position.

I've been going to therapy 3 days a week for 2 months now. That hanging upside down is part of the therapy. It does help.

I would like to get one but the ones that attach to a door don't look all that safe to me and I I weigh about 215 lbs so I don't trust them.

The self contained unit is huge and I really don't have the room for it.
