Link to Senate Bill 2074 Pages

Let's see, it starts:

Purpose: In the nature of a substitute.
IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES—111th Cong., 1st Sess.
H. R. 3590
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to modify
the first-time homebuyers credit in the case of members
of the Armed Forces and certain other Federal employees,
and for other purposes.

Seriously, that is how it starts. Then you strike everything after that and insert:

1
Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the fol2

lowing:
3
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS.

4
(a) SHORT TITLE.—This Act may be cited as the

5 ''Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act''.

etc... (for the next 2073 pages).

I guess this is how they are getting around a simple rule that tax changes must start in the house. They use a different bill and substitute.

Interesting approach. Only a politician could be this sleazy.

Man, I just got my blood pressure settled down after they launched that last fiasco. This one is going to be even worse.

It just blows me away that they are going to try and pay for part of this by taxing expensive health care plans. So I ask then who would buy them (nobody!) and then where would Uncle Barry and Uncle Harry get the money to pay for this?

This crap is criminal.

Run some numbers on this.

$894 billion over 10 years, call it $89 billion per year.

Eventually . . . 36 million who do not have insurance now will be covered.

I don't have my Obama calculator but I believe that works out to $2 million per uninsured person per year. Where can I sign up to sell Obamacare? Even at 3% commission that is $60,000 per sale.
