Lloyd's of London apologizes over founders' slavery links

I believe Confucius said "don't let yesterday use up too much of today"

Yeah, I don't know if Confucius would have said that about the Armenian genocide.

I think the Confucius quote was more for, like, if someone got a bigger slice of pie than you did or forgot to pass the potatoes. Or maybe if the girl you asked out said "no".

Not so much when your someone tries to wipe your race of the face of the earth through starvation, rape and forced labor.

Grieve it certainly, remember it certainly, but I think it would still be said to not have it consume you for over 100 years for "too much of today". some part of the day, but not too much.

easier said than done, but I have ethnic background myself of 3-4 enslaved/genocide impacted cultures (Native, irish, Jew) and children that are African.

Fair enough.

The Irish definitely had their turn being at the wrong end of things during the potato famine, when the British marched in and took potatoes from the starving Irish.

While some groups have clearly seen it worse, and others better, pretty much every group has been mistreated at varying levels over the years. I'm half French, and much of Europe and the middle east has taken turns invading us, and even today, not to many people like us, but they don't seem to have any problem eating our cheese or wine.
